Like the Bank Chapel very little is known of the United Methodist Free Church, it was built in1856 and the porch was added in 1903. If any reader has any records memoirs or know a little bit more than I do then please do not hesitate to contact me.
One thing I did find was that the Church was mentioned in the very first edition of the Congleton Chronicle on Saturday October 14th 1893
United Methodist Free Church- the harvest services were held in the above
place of worship on Sunday last, when the Rev T. Skillings, of Newcastle (newly appointed minister to the circuit), preached to large congregations
especially in the evening. The interior was tastefully decorated. Hymns appropriate for the occasion were sung, and an augmented choir rendered the
anthems "They that sow in tears" in the afternoon, and "Great is the Lord", in the evening.
