The 2010 Killer Mile was a great success, despite the weather, It was cool, with a constant drizzle but not too much to destroy everyone'e enthusiasm. There were over 900 runners in 6 races making this years I believe the best for numbers. There are however a lot fewer photos and the blame for that can be levelled at me, because this year instead of just taking photos I decided I would have a go myself.

"Way back in 2005 the Killer Mile was re-established. As the Mow Cop web master my contribution was to stand on the finish line to photograph and record the event for all those who couldn't make it. I never considered running the race, probably put of by looking at the pain in the faces of those who crossed the finish line. Since 2005 my Mum Ruth, my wife's Uncle Roy and our very good friend Ange have all died from Cancer. During their illness they and their families have all received a great deal of help and support from Douglas Macmillan Nurses and Hospice. So its time to get out the trainers and start running to help raise money for a very much needed organisation, its only One Mile after all... So please dig deep and donate now."

The above statement was on my Just Giving web page, and everyone did dig deep...Between myself and all the sponsors we raised nearly £280 for this great cause, so thank you to everyone especialy Bargain Booze Rookery staff for having a sponsor form on their counter for me.
