A Boxer works the sheep
Under the auspices of the Midland Border Collie Club a dog Utility Day was held at Little Fields Farm, 20 Church Lane. Well trained dogs of all breeds gathered for the day to be tested in several disciplines. On offer were certificates for every exercise the dog completed successfully. The event supported facilities for agility, obedience, gun-dog work, tracking, herding sheep, and the Kennel Club Good Citizens test. Every dog attending gained at least two certificates and some more than that. Border Collies can qualify for a Breed certificate based on winnings at breed shows, and as the total of certificates increases the dogs can work towards the bronze, silver, gold and very rare platinum levels.
