Frank Beaumont Riley

Frank grew up in Hudderafield, and after his mother died of milk fever in a local hospital had to be sent to the orphange along with his brother and my (Martin Trowman) Grandfather Thomas Beaumont Riley who lived to age 95. Mrs Stead took care of them both and lived in the cottage at Scholar Green (or) Little Old Morton Hall, when Mrs Stead became frail my Grandfather and Grandma looked after her in there home in Marsden, to return the gratitude shown to them as orphans. My Grandfather was an engineer at David Browns in Huddersfield helping the war effort.
